The process
I start with a WPAP sketch which I turn into a pattern. I then make sure the pattern works to create a clear picture with the beads and once thats mastered I start the bead pattern on pegboards. I check that everything looks good in beads sometimes I’ll have to adjust features on the face. I get the size of beaded pattern and start building a wooden panel. I figure out what type of background I want, so far, I’ve been working with either full beaded background, acrylic, and resin. I glue each bead individually onto the canvas. This entire process takes me about 2-4 months depending how large the project is. No matter what form of art I create it always consists of very detailed elements and a tedious process which can allow a viewer to understand how my brain works. Everything must be organized and put into the specified location. My art usually always consists of a pattern and a plan therefore its very rarely its free flow process. It truly helps soothe my OCD.
